During this comparative studies program you will focus on the history of the European Union, political and economic developments in Eastern Europe, analyses of the main industries in each country, international trade, banking, education, health care, and tourism. This program includes some cultural activities and excursions in each location. |

Designed for students interested in healthcare deliery, policy, and more, this five-week program uses Austria and Slovenia as lenses through which you'll compare the difference in healthcare systems in the United States and Central Europe. With an emphasis on experiential learning, Comparative Healthcare in Graz makes uses of site visits to local hospitals, nursing homes, and pharmacies to apply classroom concepts to the real world. Your academic experience extends to Salzburg, Vienna, and Slovenia where you'll dive into the role that history and culture play in healthcare. |

This program offers comparative exploration of the Republic of Ireland’s justice system and is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in criminal justice, juvenile justice, law, sociology, or human relations. Students will meet with representatives from the court, police and correctional systems. Site visits will include the criminal court, a prison, and a juvenile facility. |

This four week, six credit program, based in the heart of London, will give you the opportunity to examine the differences in British and American Sign Languages as well as British and American Deaf Culture. Designed for students who have completed at least ASL 0002 (by the start of the program), you'll have the opportunity to practice your ASL skills both in and out of the classroom - the program is "voice off." |

Designed for all students, you will enjoy learning about Parisian culture, history, and literature through discussions of literary texts, essays, letters, and select movies. Spend the full spring semester taking this three-credit course where you will describe, analyze, and characterize the entire brewing process. You will experience the process first-hand while traveling to either Belgium or Germany during spring break. Engineering students over 21 can apply. |
South Africa

Engineering Design for Social Change (ENGR 1276) is an experiential learning course (basic knowledge and background in math and sciences (up through calculus and introductory physics) designed to provide engineering minded students (may be from any major) with an introduction to designing solutions to problems that impact humanity. Students will see the social consequences of engineering decisions made by companies and other organizations in South Africa and discuss the rationale that led to those decisions during meetings with leaders, engineers, and other representatives from those parties. |

Study Away
This two-week, three-credit program focuses on the impact of environmental policy in the American West. The program includes time in Laramie, WY and Cheyenne, WY, as well as Estes Park and the Rocky Mountain National Park. Meet with local community members, experts in environmental policy, legislators, lobbysists, and members of Native American communities to gain a comprehensive and well-rounded understanding of environmental policy and issues. You'll leave the program with a portfolio of policy papers, too. |
